The elephant survey of Aires de I'Est Hunting Area using the aerial total count method. It was carried out during the dry season (April to May) in 2003 using a cessna fixed-wing aircraft. The surveyed hunting areas were submitted as strata for the sake of better comparison with the Konkumbouri Hunting Zone survey that was carried out in 2006.
