Estimate of elephants in the 'Rest of Mozambique Range' in 2008 using the aerial sample count method. All the post 2008 estimates that were covered by the survey area were clipped out therefore reducing the estimates of the 2008 Mozambique nationwide survey (http://staging.elephantdatabase.org/population_submissions/376) from 7187 +/-5246 to 3129 +/-5190. Due to a few assumptions from the reanalysis the estimates were submitted as an informed guess.
