This dataset comprises aerial sample count data from a survey conducted in the Etosha National Park, Namibia, in September 2015. The survey was conducted using a Cessna 182, yielding an estimated elephant population of 2 911 based on a coverage of 22.6% of the survey area of 18 551 km². The report describes the elephant population as stable: the estimated population in 2012 was 2 810. No carcass data was detailed.
