This report outlines the nation wide aerial survey of approximately 22% of Zambia, using the aerial sample count method. It was carried out from September to December 2008 with a Cessna fixed-wing aircraft. The survey entry accounts for six of the country's main aggregate blocks with the exception of Kariba system and Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park which were surveyed using the aerial total count due to their small manageable extent. These are tracked in separate entries.
