This is an informed guess for a number of Private Reserves in South Africa in 2011, as per information provided to Marion Garai and then to the AfESG. The number of elephant seen is based on the aggregate of all the 'known' and 'aerial count' status under the Garai notes column in the survey report spread sheet.
