The estimates of elephants in Moukalaba Doudou Central South sector in 2011. The estimates were derived using dung count survey but due to the lack of presentation of the decay and defecation rate parameters the estimates were submitted as an informed guess. 32 transects (total length 94.7km) were walked and 466 dungpiles recorded. Dung density was 982 (95% c,.l. 763-1263)
